Education lags behind research in moving to the Web.

• Materials created by educators appear to be transient and spotty or locked up in LMSs.
• Lack of universal access and lack of time are major inhibitors, especially at lower levels.

The main exceptions are:

• Independent sites targeting home schooling, homework help, or enrichment
• Ancillary materials and companion web sites from publishers
